She started reading the Bhagavad Gita, under the guidance of her father.
The quote “Karmanye vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshu kadachana” from Shri Krishna, meaning "You have a right to your actions, but not to the fruits of actions” guides Astrologer RS Kohli through her daily life and profession. The quote simply means that one should only care about fulfilling their goals or requirements, without the expectation of any reward. What is to be rewarded is decided by the lord himself, and we cannot change that. She has understood this quote and her purpose, and consistently applies that logic to her work.
